Emma and Derek
Spring Wedding at Folkerton Mill.
Part of Folkerton Mill’s mission is to be a sustainable wedding venue, it’s at the core of what they do. Each couple being married at Folkerton Mill gets to celebrate their wedding by planting a tree on the grounds. After their ceremony, Emma and Derek’s first act as a newly married couple was to plant an apple tree in the Folkerton orchard. This gave the couple time away from their guests to take a deep breath and have their moment of quiet. An essential moment that all couples should plan in to their day. Their apple tree was named Andrew, after Emma’s Poppa. Poppa is still very much with us, but Emma wanted to honour him especially during their day.

“Part of the package supplied by Folkerton Mill is coach transfer for guests on the morning of the wedding and after the party at night time. The party was in full flow later in the evening and the combination of the private venue, amazing tunes, great weather and no need for clock watching or taxis for guests, led to an incredible day and night of celebration.”
