At Folkerton Mill, we're proud to be an inclusive venue where everyone is welcome. We kindly ask all suppliers to avoid using gendered language or making assumptions about relationships, roles or identities until these have been confirmed by the to-be-weds. Using inclusive language helps ensure everyone feel respected, welcomed and celebrated. If you are unsure what this means in practice, please get in touch.

PARKING FOR SUPPLIERS

Parking at Folkerton Mill is limited, and the spaces within the venue are reserved for suppliers and Blue Badge holders. Where possible, we kindly ask suppliers to car share to help maximise the available parking.

On arrival, please make yourself known to our parking attendants at the main entrance. Let them know that you are a supplier and approximately what time you expect to leave, and they will direct you to the most appropriate parking space.

Thank you for helping us keep the venue running smoothly for our couples and their guests.

  • Caterers: There is a space big enough for a van next to the main barn that is reserved for you to use.

  • DJs/Bands: If the caterers have finished and the space beside the barn is available, please feel free to use it to unload your equipment. If the catering van is still there, there are several alternative unloading areas nearby, all with easy access to the barn via either a path or steps.

ACCESS & COLLECTION

Our wedding package includes exclusive three-day venue hire (Friday to Sunday), allowing suppliers plenty of time to set up and collect equipment.

Suppliers are welcome to deliver and set up from 8.00am on Friday. All equipment must be collected and removed from the venue by 5.00pm on Sunday.

If you require equipment to remain on site beyond this time, this can usually be arranged by prior agreement, subject to availability, at a charge of £100 per day.

POWER & UTILITIES

Standard electrical power is available throughout the venue and three-phase power is available in the Hay Barn (generally where the caterers and entertainments is located). There are 13A sockets in the Hay Barn, Old Mill and catering areas. If you require power for specialist or high-load equipment, please contact us in advance so we can confirm suitability.

Extension leads can be used but you will need to supply your own. We can run power into the garden if required during the ceremony and we will provide an extension lead for this. There is also power available outside in the courtyard. Equipment should be PAT tested. Generators are permitted but please contact us first to discuss.

Mobile signal is generally good across the outdoor areas of Folkerton Mill, with most major networks providing reliable 4G and 5G coverage. Due to the age and construction of our historic stone buildings, signal strength may be reduced indoors.

Please note that we do not provide public Wi-Fi, so we recommend ensuring you have sufficient mobile data if you require an internet connection during your visit.

SUSTAINABILITY

Looking after our beautiful surroundings is an important part of life at Folkerton Mill.

Throughout the restoration of the Mill, we've prioritised reusing original materials, preserving the site's heritage and making environmentally conscious decisions wherever possible. We encourage all suppliers to support these efforts by reducing waste, avoiding unnecessary single-use plastics where practical and disposing of waste responsibly.

If flowers, food or décor can be reused, donated or composed after the wedding, we love helping make that happen. We can compost non-meat food waste on site.

Together, small actions create a meaningful impact.
