Welcome to the Farm House at Folkerton Mill.

Who Can Use the Farmhouse?

The Farmhouse is reserved exclusively for guests staying overnight and authorised suppliers who may need access while preparing for the wedding.

To allow those staying in the house to relax and enjoy the accommodation, we kindly ask that guests who are not staying overnight do not enter the Farmhouse unless invited by the Folkerton Mill team.

Food & Drink

You're very welcome to enjoy your own food and drinks within the Farmhouse during your stay.

To support the wedding celebrations and our licensed bar, we kindly ask that all alcohol consumed within the wedding venue, courtyard, gardens, Old Mill and Hay Barn is purchased from the Folkerton Mill bar.

Please do not bring alcohol from the Farmhouse into the wedding venue or celebration spaces.

Looking After the Farmhouse

Please treat the Farmhouse as you would your own home.

We kindly ask that you:

• Leave bedrooms and shared spaces tidy.

• Wash or load any dishes into the dishwasher after use.

• Report any breakages or maintenance issues to the Folkerton Mill team.

• Collect all personal belongings before departure.

There is no need to strip beds or undertake extensive cleaning, we'll take care of that for you.

Furniture & Furnishings

To help us keep the Farmhouse looking its best, we kindly ask that all indoor furniture, cushions, throws and furnishings remain inside the house.

Outdoor seating cushions are provided for your comfort and can be found in the storage box on the balcony. Please return them to the storage box after use to help protect them from the weather.

No candles or naked flames are permitted inside the Farmhouse.

Hot Tub

The hot tub is available exclusively for guests staying in the Farmhouse.

Please:

• Shower before use where possible.

• Do not use glass in or around the hot tub.

• Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

• Replace the cover after use.

• Avoid using the hot tub if under the influence of excessive alcohol

Health & Safety

Your safety is important to us. Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with the following information during your stay.

Fire Safety

• Please familiarise yourself with the nearest exits when you arrive.

• Fire extinguishers are located up at the barn and within the Mill and there is a fire blanket in the kitchen of the Farmhouse.

• If you discover a fire, leave the building immediately.

• Call 999 in the event of an emergency.

• Please do not re-enter the building until it is safe to do so.

First Aid

A first aid kit is available in the Farmhouse.

If you require medical assistance or wish to report an accident, please contact a member of the Folkerton Mill team immediately.

Children

Children are very welcome at Folkerton Mill but remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times.

Please supervise children, particularly around:

• The burn (stream)

• The water wheel

• Gravel paths

• Steps

• The hot tub

• Roads and car park

Historic Buildings

The Farmhouse and surrounding buildings are historic properties.

Please be aware that there may be:

• Uneven floors

• Low doorways or beams

• Stone steps

• Gravel paths

• Changes in ground level

Please take extra care, particularly during wet weather.

The Countryside

You're staying in a rural location, so please be mindful of:

• Livestock in neighbouring fields.

• Wildlife.

• Electric fencing (where present).

• Slippery ground after rain.

• Watercourses.

Please keep to designated paths where possible.

Smoking

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the Farmhouse.

Please use the designated outdoor areas and dispose of cigarette ends safely.

Candles & Naked Flames

For everyone's safety, candles, fireworks, Chinese lanterns and other naked flames are not permitted inside the Farmhouse.

Barbecues

For safety reasons, guests are not permitted to bring their own barbecues, fire pits or outdoor cooking equipment onto the property unless agreed in advance with the Folkerton Mill team.
